Department Profile:

Ewing Christian College is one of the leading autonomous colleges in Northern India, It established a centre of excellence in the field of Computer Education, CENTRE FOR COMPUTER SCIENCES  on 5th August, 1996.

Comprises of 150 Intel Based Computers for high end working & teaching, making students professional for a world that runs on computers. Moving a step further, we introduced learning through multimedia, slides, short films, electronic notes, etc. to impart knowledge that could lead a student to his/her maximum potential.

Infrastructural Facilities:

In the process of producing marketable stuff, the Centre has acquired latest training techniques & tools, which are also available to our students & trainees.

Lectures & Practical demonstrations are delivered using Multimedia Projectors. All the lecture theatres are equipped with Multimedia projector and computer.

Software laboratories are equipped with Multimedia Projectors. The 150 students terminals are supported with one full-fledge HCL Server with power back-up of five online-UPS.

Computer Based Tutorials (CBTs) are also used for demonstration of difficult topics in the software lab.

The Centre is already using BSNL Broadband (10 MBPS) connectivity for Internet as well as Wi-Fi Internet connectivity in the campus. All the students terminals are interconnected via LAN and internet facilities.

A departmental library is also functioning for fulfilling the knowledge requirements of computer application students.
