
The college was awarded B++ Grade in 2004 by NAAC and is in the process of re-accredition. It is also one of the prestigious few to be recognized by UGC as a Centre with Potential for Excellence.

U.P.R.T.O.U. was established by U.P. Govt. in 1999. From the very beginning E.C.C. was selected as study centre. In the beginning only B.Sc. (Maths and Bio. Group) course was started and counseling classes and examination were held at this centre. Later on P.G. Course was started and M.A. in English Literature, Hindi, Economics, History, Sociology and Political Science was started from July 2006. In the same year UGSS, BLIS, PG DJMC, PGDESD, Courses were also started at this centre. At present about 200 students are enrolled at this centre and counseling classes are held at the centre.

As a recognition of the excellent teaching in the B.Ed. department of the college, IGNOU, the People's University approached to establish B.Ed. Programme Study Centre (Centre Code : 27106-P) attached with the Department of Teacher Education (B.Ed.), Ewing Christian College, Gaughat, Allahabad- 211003 where 100 students selected and allotted by the University through Entrance Test scheduled in August every year are being trained since 2006. The duration of the course is of two (2 yrs.) years where the academic session begins in January and ends in December. The minimum qualification is graduation with 50% marks in any stream.
