VISION

 

Affirming on building upon its heritage, Ewing Christian College will become recognized leader in transformative education of the whole person through engaged learning, community participation and development of ethical leaders.

 

In the light of the above the vision of Ewing Christian College is:

 

•a.      To serve the Church and Nation by providing for the development of Christian students and other students in the college through sharing and advancement of knowledge and the building of character through Christian witness and example.

 

•b.     To serve the Church and Nation by promoting a spirit of goodwill cooperation and friendship among the people of India, irrespective of caste, colour, creed, social status, denomination, language or attitudes conducive to the all round development of the country and all its people.

 

•c.      To serve the Church and Nation by giving effect to a spirit of international friendship, cooperation and goodwill through which Christian people and others overseas may join in the understanding and sharing of mutual concerns.

 

 

MISSION

 

In furtherance of the above vision and for its fulfillment, the mission of Ewing Christian College shall be:

 

  • a. To educate and develop the whole person. Our graduates shall be equipped to become leaders, living ethical, useful, sensitive and fulfilling lives with a strong sense of personal accountability and civic responsibility.

 

  • b. To manage, to control and endow Ewing Christian College as an institution of higher learning of the Church of North India or its successors in cooperation with other churches in India and abroad, as a non-profit organization.

 

  • c. To provide for instruction in various branches of knowledge, to engage in research and to conduct extension work as may be determined by the college for carrying out its programme of graduate and post-graduate studies; such instruction to be aimed at developing the student's urge to question, think, create, rationalize and come to rationale conclusions.

 

  • d. To provide for Christian Education and opportunities for witness and worship according to the faith, doctrines of the Church of North India or its successors.

 

  • e. To provide opportunities for effective national and international exchange in furtherance of the vision of the college.

 

  • f. To develop a staff with high moral, intellectual and academic ability to inspire both the students and the local community.

 

  • g. To develop in students, staff and community social consciousness, accountability and involvement.

 

 

The fulfillment of the mission is carried out in a learning community with Christian values, high standards of integrity and excellence, affirming and challenging each member.To keep working for the students, we need to know what they want. While at Ewing Christian College, the students may be asked for their inputs and opinions on such things as how to make the schedules friendlier, issues related to the progress of the college, etc. Through course evaluation, student forums, student council and student/faculty interactions, we keep the lines of communication open.
